What do each of the abbreviation listed below mean? I think that they are heavy-metals (no, not rockers!).?
1] Pb: 2] As: 3] Cu: d] Sb: e] Co: f] Tl: g] Cd: Also, can any of you Yahoo-ers provide the link to a good chemical dictionary where I might find these, and others in the future? Yahoo Answer-ers are the smartest people in the known universe (no, in the entire space-time continuum!).

- 1] Pb: lead 2] As: arsenic 3] Cu: copper d] Sb: antimony e] Co: cobalt f] Tl: tellurium g] Cd: cadmium all of them are metals: tin, lead, and tellurium are post-transition metals i'm pretty sure these are right, they're from my textbook
- Not all of them are heavy metal. Pb is lead, As is arsenic (a semiconductor), Cu is copper, Sb is antimony (a semiconductor), Co is colbalt, Ti is titanium (TiO2 is a semiconductor), Cd is Cadmium (used in semiconductor technology such as CdS or CdTe...). simple answers, go to http://www.answers.com
- I think this is all you need: http://www.lenntech.com/periodic-chart.htm
- The term heavy metal refers to any metallic chemical element that has a relatively high density and is toxic or poisonous at low concentrations. Examples of heavy metals include: Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Arsenic (As), Chromium (Cr), Thallium (Tl), Lead (Pb). It's interactive. (Flattery will get you anywhere).
