What does Physics have to do with Computer Science?

I want to major in Computer Science when I go to college, but my potential university says that I will have to take eleven hours of Physics my sophomore year. But my problem is: 1. I don't know what Physics has to do with Computer Science and 2. I HAVE NEVER TAKEN PHYSICS IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! Im still in high school and they don't offer [nor have ever offered] Physics, so when I step in that classroom two years from now, I'm screwed!!! So what does Physics have to do with computer science?

  1. So you know gravity. We know about gravity because of Physics and we need gravity to keep computer on our desks or ground. There you go the relationship between Physics and computer..lolz
  2. it has a lot to do with computer science. You will take some CS classes on computer circuits, and without a basic understanding of electricity and magnetism, you won't be able to understand computer circuits. Also, universities want you to be a well rounded student. They want you to understand physics and chemistry. Otherwise, you might as well go to a place like ITT Tech, and get a crappy education.
  3. Physics for computer never heard that one before I always knew that physics was for chemistry area not computer it's like that at my school I took physics in the 10th grade then I took GMO A is something like that and I am taking that now.
