Where can I ask advanced cosmology questions?
I have had advanced level astronomy and cosmology, read the popular magazines on the topic but have not found a place to ask questions that seem above YA level.

- Your local library should be able to answer any question you can come up with.
- There are many astronomy and physics-specific forums out there. I suggest Physics Forums.
- Wow - all that education. You must be real smart. And of course so very humble. Perhaps a college or university in your area could provide the intellectual challenge you need. Or you might try these institutions: http://www.aip.org/ http://www.mpa-garching.mpg.de/ http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/ http://hia-iha.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/main_e.html http://map.gsfc.nasa.gov/universe/index.html http://cfcp.uchicago.edu/
- yeah, that's true. YA doesn't boast the best answers at all, but many of us have some pretty useful information of the field. give it a shot and you might be surprised. cosmology is one of my 5 biggest interests. 1. advancements in technologies (moore's law) a. biomechanics b. robotics and AI 2. quantum physics 3. cosmology 4. new computer interface design 5. women wings of justice --- respect but, I do think mike sorta has a point. many correct answer rating I've noticed here in A/S dwindles near the level of about 5 - 20 %. I guess its really hard to put a number to it, but really, sometimes its pretty sad around here.
- It's not your education level Mike - it's your inability to put your words together to explain what is inside your mind. I've read your astronomy answers. There is a reason why they are not picked BA. If you want to be in other categories than the Singles and Marriage zones which you tend to frequent, try taking some courses in communication. It matters not what your head contains if you have no way of communicating it to others.
- I have to agree with bondman, linda and Mercury. If you feel YA is beneath you, I suggest that you look for other forums or alternatives that meet your high standards. I find that some of the questions and answers are not only interesting but educational as well! As for me...I only have a Juris Doctorate degree and practice law, so I assume according to your standards my opinions are of no value. Good luck! <EDIT> Cyperspace...well said!
- The following site is completely dedicated to astronomy Q&A. Your question will be answered by a team of astronomers. http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/
- do research , check encyclopedias in every language check the local news maybe they ll have something
- I have to agree with linda, who answered well for Mike's questions.Because all these sites will be much more useful. The only thing is these sites are not known to the beginners. We have to thank Mike for raising this question and to thank cyberspace also for good and creative comment.
